It helped me with my schoolwork, and It was fun, then it kind of got boring. also hate the pro+ things... it literally says pro+ on them and I am now uninterested in Powtoon.

This would be a 5 if I was to rate on app alone but you do have to pay for the app and that is still not my reason for giving it 3. I have no problem paying for an app. As a professional videographer I spend thousands for software of all types so don't mistake me for one of those small-minded "I want something for nothing and if you charge me then you are a horrible, greedy corporation who hates the environment" liberal types. Simply, it is WAY overpriced for what it is. User friendly: check. Innovative: check. Quality: check. Bleed you for ungodly amounts of cash: check and check.

I've been using the app for two days now and so far I like it. I am not sure why some people are saying you have to pay and if not you don't have many options. For the average user, there are more than enough free templates and associated images, etc. to make a nice project. I, too, was disheartened to find I needed to upload to Youtube or pay to download and save then I realized you can embed the code. This way you can put the video where you want. I made a sample for my website that I am revamping and was able to embed it and it played with no problems. If you want to get the ad at the end off, you have to pay. There are some annoying little things that I think need to be worked out. You need to make sure you save when you make any changes because if not when you do a preview your changes will not be there. I guess I'm used to auto save programs. Also, I have a hard time getting sound added. I was also unable to select any of the sounds that come with the program. I had to actually import my own song to get it to work. I have high hopes for this app...hope I don't get disappointed down the line. I've made a sample and now I'm ready for the real deal...the one I'm going to add to my website.

Great application but after spending hours putting together a lesson, only the lame elements were available. Completely wasted my time because unless you can afford the upgrade, and I can't, your presentations will be simple and uninteresting.

PowToon is an innovative app that I used to make test presentations for class. I used it for about a month and tried to explore as many of the features as I could. There are a lot of really cool things about this app. For example, this app allows you to animate your slides in a way that's completely different from PowerPoint. It's like animating your own cartoon. Another cool feature is it has a huge database of pre-animated images, so if you aren't as advanced they have done the task of animating it for you. There are a few downsides to this app. One disadvantage is that there is a lengthy learning curve even with the basics. There are so many options with this app that it would take a long time to master it. However, the fact that there is a learning curve at all means that the creators spent a lot of time developing this app. Overall, I can see myself using this app next year as I master more and more of the tools available. I would give this amazing app four out of five stars.
