When it works, I love it. But the add on app for Google Docs is super buggy and half the time PWA never comes on, even after restarting/refreshing Docs, restarting my computer and/or uninstalling and re-installing the add-on. It's super frustrating considering I pay for this. When it does show up in GDocs a lot of times it will populate/highlight the wrong grammatical errors. This has been going on for quite a while. When will there be a fix or any update??

Great. Works anywhere and everywhere and love that you can edit the style guide to be exactly how you want. And it's super easy to use and navigate. Definitely worth trying out.( I have just the free version)

I like ProWritingAid as a concept, but the extension is awful and frustrating. The program is supposed to underline writing errors and when the cursor hovers over the error a window is supposed to open to give suggestions on how to fix the issue. In reality, the program randomly underlines sections of text that have nothing to do with the writing error. For example in the sentence "Cristmis is a holiday." It might underline holiday and then give the suggestion to replace the word with "Christmas". That's assuming the new window opens at all. Most of the time, the new window will work with the first 1 or 2 errors and then stop working entirely. Additionally, when the new window does work, it blocks the text being edited, so there is no way to fix the error without some keyboard shenanigans and using the arrow keys for navigation. Overall, the extension isn't worth the headache because everything has to be copy and pasted to the website for any of ProWritingAid's features to work.

I like ProWritingAid on its own. But this GDocs addon isn't up to speed. It's nice when it actually works correctly. But there's a huge U/X issue with notification placement. For example, when I have a 'complex sentence' the notification blocks the sentence so I can't correct it without ignoring the notification. Why don't I use the app here and click 'Rephrase Sentence'? Because it goes into an endless loading loop 80% of the time an no suggestion pops up. Regardless, I should be able to correct it how I see fit without an annoying notification block in the way.

When the program works, it is great. When it doesn't, it's beyond annoying. Do not, under any circumstances use the "improve document" option. It is a buggy mess. It will open a window within google docs that acts like a notepad and show you all of your mistakes. BUT it only really works on small documents, and tells you to try breaking your document into smaller parts. And if you implement changes, it removes any formatting from your document. The key that I have found is that the program works on a certain number of errors before it becomes unresponsive. Write your document out and either ignore or disable the app. When you go back to edit, work through from the beginning and remove as many errors as possible (in the normal document, not the improve mode). Only by doing so will you be able to work through errors further along in the document. Even "errors" that aren't wrong, make sure to dismiss them. This will work for about 30 pages before even doing that stops working. I really wish this program would just work without the little gimmicks. Hopefully they fix it. Especially since I paid for the "premium" version.

I would rate it highly but it insists on telling me the English spellings are incorrect because they are the "UK" spelling. 1. There is no such things as British/UK English in the same way that there is no such thing as French French. There is English and there are derivatives such as American English. 2. Here's a suggestion, let me choose the correct English spelling instead of assuming that it's wrong. 3. The arrogance of Americans to assume that their ruination of English is correct. I can't believe that I pay for this

Doesn't work well on Google Docs. You get 80% of functionality and it is buggy at times.

Love the full version of prowriting aid, however the Docs add-on is a bit glitchy, and often times stops working entirely in the middle of a document. A touch frustrating when using it for a tight-deadline project.
