Select some text in Google Docs™ and give it colour: a gradient that runs across the words, two colours alternating letter by letter, letters that grow as you read, or the whole line turned upside down. Rainbow runs as a side panel inside Google Docs™. COLOURS THAT WERE CHOSEN, NOT GUESSED Six palettes — Rainbow, Sunset, Ocean, Forest, Berry and a grey fade — each picked so the text stays readable on a white page. The add-on this replaces handed out random colours, and its own reviewers called them atrocious. You can also reverse any palette, so the gradient runs the other way. IT PUTS EVERYTHING BACK One press restores the exact colours and font sizes you had before, including the upside-down text, which flips back letter for letter. There is also Remove colours, which clears the colouring from anything you select, at any time. Both are free, forever — undoing our own effect is not something you should have to pay for. IT READS ONLY THIS FILE The one permission Rainbow asks for is limited by Google to the single document you open it in. It cannot reach your other files, your Google Drive™ or your mailbox. Nothing from your file is ever sent anywhere: there is no database and no analytics. Without a licence key the add-on makes no network request at all; with a Pro licence it asks our licence server once a day whether that key is still active, sending only the key and a random identifier for the installation. We never store the words you wrote: the undo record holds character positions, colour values and font sizes, and for upside-down text it stores nothing at all, because flipping it a second time returns exactly what you started with. FREE, FOREVER • Gradient across everything you select • Alternating colours, letter by letter • All six palettes, and the option to reverse any of them • Letters that grow, or letters that shrink • Upside down text • Remove colours • Put it back — the exact colours and sizes you had before PRO — $29 a year or $69 once, per user • Your own colours — any hex values you like, as many as you like • Saved presets — name a combination and reuse it in any document Long selections stay fast: the colouring is applied in bands rather than one character at a time, so a whole page takes the same handful of operations as a sentence. One licence per add-on: this key unlocks Pro in Rainbow, on up to three Google accounts. A team licence covers every add-on we publish, for a whole organisation.
