Recurring - Out of office for Gmail™ A Gmail addon that helps you by marking when you are out of office and sends an auto reply message to everyone who sends you an email. It works in five easy steps:

- Select a day you want to set as out of office.
- Activate the periods you want. You can add or remove periods.
- Set the hours you will be away and click save.
- Write the subject and the message you want to be sent automatically.
- Activate and deactivate Recurring - Out of office whenever you want.

Note: If you enable or disable a day without entering its settings, all the periods you have set for that day will be enabled when you turn it back on. Conversely, if you disable the day without accessing its settings, all periods will be disabled.
If you wish to manage specific periods for a day, you need to do so within the day’s settings and click Save to apply your changes.

This worked well, until recently. Then it stopped working completely, with no warning. I've tried to contact support through their online form, but when I hit send I get an error message. It seems like this app is non-functional and unsupported.

It's basic functionality looks great - but unfortunately it repeat from week to week. I have to re-enable the addon each time I want it to work, when it should just be a recurring thing that just turns on the out of office on the same day every week.

This app works great. its the only one that succesfully does schedule your vacation messages. some instructions are missing which is the only weakness. 1. if you enable the activate button on the bottom then change your schedule in the other options it does not take until you de activate and re activate it. initially was confusing what that toggle is for but after playing around with it this is how you must use it. 2. The away message does not support formatting multiple paragraphs everything is formatted into one paragraph so be prepared for this when writing your away message. otherwise it is perfect.

I appreciate the concept. It worked as it should. However, you can't create paragraphs in your message. It is one long paragraph and that is a no go for me. I uninstalled the app. I will just set a reminder/task for myself to turn on my native Google OOO response every week for now. If this gets changed in the future, I will be more than happy to try again.

We had a full-time employee transition to part-time and needed a pre-set way for recurring out of office responses for her long time clients. Our company email is through Google Workspace and the platform OOO response is very basic. Asking someone to set that each day was too much. Found this Recurring Out of Office app and was able to easily add for the entire company as the account admin. When access gmail through a chrome browser the app is front and center on the right hand task bar. We missed setting up the individual day periods (clicking each individual day and updating with granular details) so it wasn't working at first. Support was very responsive and guided us through that. Once all was set, we've had no issues. Appreciate the much needed feature!
