Turn a list of origins and a list of destinations into a full distance or travel-time matrix, right in Google Sheets™. Put your origins in one column and your destinations in another, point Route Matrix at them, and press RUN. Every pairing comes back on a new tab: real road distance or real travel time from Google Maps™, not straight-line estimates. No API key, no setup, no coding. WHAT YOU GET • Every origin against every destination, in one grid on its own tab • Distance in miles or kilometers, or travel time in hours and minutes • Driving, walking, bicycling, or transit • Optional departure time: driving times include expected traffic, and transit follows the timetable • Optional row and column totals. With Formatted output, a color scale marks the lowest total, so the facility, hub, or meeting point that minimizes travel for everyone stands out • Optional ranking of the five nearest destinations for each origin • Optional custom labels, so "Warehouse A" shows in place of a long address (the full address stays in a note) • Each results tab lists how it was made: ranges, travel mode, units, departure time, and when it ran PERFECT FOR ✓ Facility and warehouse siting: which candidate location is closest to everyone it serves ✓ Meeting and venue selection: the spot with the least total travel for all attendees ✓ Territory and route planning: drive times across a whole service area at once ✓ Logistics and dispatch: compare depots, hubs, and cross-dock options ✓ Real estate and site selection: proximity scoring across a shortlist ✓ Anyone who has ever checked twenty routes by hand in Google Maps™ HOW IT WORKS 1. Select your origin cells and click Use Active Selection, or type a range like A2:A20. 2. Do the same for your destinations. 3. Press RUN. Up to 9 routes is free; for a bigger matrix, RUN shows how many paid routes it will use and asks before spending any. New to it? Click Try a Sample to load example addresses and see a result in seconds. LOCATION FORMATS If Google Maps™ can interpret it, Route Matrix can route it: • Street address • Latitude / longitude (snaps to the nearest road) • Plus Code • City, country, or other political boundary • Point of interest • Airport • Park BIG MATRICES Runs over 9 routes use paid routes and handle matrices of thousands of routes: 2,500 routes in about 10 seconds, and 5,000+ in under 20. You are charged only for runs that finish. If a matrix is too large for one go, it stops before charging and tells you what size to split it into. PRICING Basic use is free: runs of up to 9 routes at a time cost nothing. Bigger runs use paid routes, at $15 for 1,000 or $50 for 5,000. A driving route with a departure time includes traffic and counts as two. Buy routes from inside the add-on. Questions?
