Problem solved, and no mouse needed - just select the jibberish text and run Shift extension (Alt+N) and keep on typing without slowing down.

For example:
You were typing סבבה, but you see it came out xccv. Select it (shift+ctrl+left arrow for selecting whole words), Alt-N to run it through Extensions menu and now it's סבבה !
