WHAT SMART COLUMN CLEANER DOES
Clean up messy data in seconds – no complex formulas required.

Text cleanup
* Trim leading and trailing spaces.
* Normalize internal spaces to a single space.
* Change case to lower, UPPER, or Proper case.
* Remove emojis and other non-ASCII characters when you need plain text only.

Numbers & IDs
* Keep only digits in phone numbers and IDs by removing non-numeric characters.
* Clean number-like text by removing commas and spaces so it behaves reliably in filters and formulas.

Duplicates & rows
* Remove duplicate values in selected column(s), keeping the first entry and blanking or highlighting the rest.
* Remove duplicate rows using one or more key columns and move duplicates to a separate review sheet.
* Clear duplicates within each row across adjacent columns (advanced).
* Delete blank rows within your selection, or effectively “delete rows where the selected column is blank” by selecting just that column.

All tools work on your current selection, so you stay in full control of what gets changed.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Select a column or range.
2. Go to: Extensions > Smart Column Cleaner > Open Cleaner.
3. Click your desired action — done!
Use the standard Undo (Ctrl+Z) to instantly revert any changes.

* The Free plan lets you clean a limited number of cells per day.
* The Pro plan unlocks higher limits and advanced usage and includes a 14-day free trial.
* You can upgrade or continue on Free directly from the sidebar.

PRIVACY & SECURITY
* Data remains in your sheet: We only access the range you select to perform the cleanup. We never transmit your spreadsheet content to our servers.
* Tech Speckles Architecture: All processing occurs within the Google Apps Script environment under least-privilege permissions.
* Licensing: We use a Google-signed ID token or Firebase token to verify Pro status. No cell data is sent during this check.
* Logs: Minimal license/quota logs (excluding sheet content) are kept for 30 days for troubleshooting.
