Überblick
Smart Planner is a Google Sheets™ add-on for operations teams that use spreadsheets to plan work.

Use it to explore:

- Production planning and job-shop scheduling
- Capacity allocation and machine sequencing
- Labor and shift scheduling
- Logistics routing and prioritization

Describe the planning goal in plain language. Smart Planner reads the spreadsheet you explicitly select, identifies the available planning structure, and helps build an optimization model. Review the model, run Solve, and write the resulting schedule or allocation back to the same workbook.

A simple workflow:

1. Open Smart Planner from Extensions in Google Sheets™.
2. Confirm the workbook name and select the spreadsheet using the file picker.
3. Ask a planning question, such as: “Schedule these jobs across the available machines while minimizing finish time.”
4. Review the model and run Solve.
5. Inspect the schedule and summary in the result sheet.

The current preview focuses on production planning and job-shop scheduling. The same workflow is intended for workforce scheduling, capacity planning, and logistics scenarios as those models are added.

Smart Planner can access only the spreadsheet you explicitly select. Spreadsheet contents are processed in memory for the requested operation and are not retained after the session.

The cloud backend may send conversation text and model requirements to AI code-generation providers such as Cursor, OpenAI, and Anthropic solely to interpret instructions and generate optimization logic. Smart Planner does not use Google Workspace™ data to train or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models. See the Privacy Policy for details.
