I have used Google Docs and Smartsheet without a hitch for almost 10 years and all of a sudden today Google is blocking me out and won't allow a merge. This is BS, let me back in!!!!!

Endlessly problematic with little support from Smartsheet on how to make it work. Sometimes have to use it in an Incognito Window because google won't allow it to run in regular accounts. If you have a large number of rows, it can be very time consuming to select the row you need. There's no 'unselect' row when choosing the row of data to merge, so you're stuck trying to find the last one used. Can't seem to see available sheets with no instructions in Smartsheet about how to make a sheet visible to the tool. No easy way to name/rename the file it creates, so there are a million 'Copies of ' the template. Very basic, and unfortunately Smartsheet has very limited Microsoft integration.

Used to work well, but can´t connect it now. It´s a pity, I really need this, working on a catalog of services and want to have the option to display the info in a well prepared table, but as I said, id doesnt work

While it's a little clunky, this add-on does exactly the task I need it to. I've found it gives me issues attaching PDF files onto Smartsheet rows if I don't also have the "Create a Google Doc" option selected. The Google Doc doesn't have to necessarily also be attached to the row or shared, just created. This fixed my problems with attaching the PDF to the row. Hope that's helpful. This add-on is neat for its abilities taking a mail-merge one step further.

I use this tool multiple times a week and for the most part, it gets the job done. What I dislike about the product: It creates a folder for each merge and uses the merge date/time stamp as the folder name. It would be preferable if you could select whether to create a folder or merely create the doc into an existing Drive folder, and failing that, to be able to name the folder that is created, using either fields from the Smartsheet source data or input into the merge tool. It would also be great to be able to filter out rows when selecting them from the data source. Thanks.

1 merge may result in 50 copies of the same document. Even if you select pdf, you will get both docs and pdf. If you select to have the document attached or uploaded (no idea what the difference is) it won´t do it and instead create a folder on Drive, with yes..... tens of copies.

Very easy to use and setup (all one star ratings seem like they didn't realize its meant for Smartsheet users only. There is no fee for the Add-On, but you do need a paid license to use Smartsheet). Wish there was more control on filtering and selecting rows from the sheet. Now that Smartsheet has allowed you to save filtered views, any chance this Add-On will allow you to chose a filter in a sheet? This would solve a lot of other issues and complaints seen on this review page as well.

I was able to get the plugin to install. But when I try and utilize it in Google Docs the plugin will NEVER authorize and run. Tried umpteen times on several different computers with the same results... SO FRUSTRATING.
