Type =SN("AAPL", "revenue", 2025) in a cell and get Apple's revenue for its fiscal year 2025, read from its SEC filings.
Pick any figure or ratio SN Data holds: revenue, net income, free cash flow, gross and operating margin, return on equity and on invested capital, growth rates, per-share figures and more. Name it by id (gross_margin) or in plain words ("Gross margin").
Periods: a fiscal year (2025), "TTM" for the last twelve months, "LY" for the latest fiscal year, "LQ" for the latest quarter, or a fiscal quarter like "Q3 2026". Leave the period out to get every year.
One cell fills a table: =SN(A2:A11, "revenue", {2021,2022,2023,2024,2025}) puts ten companies down and five years across.
How it works:
- Add your SN Data key once (Extensions > SN Data > Your SN Data key). A free account at shikshannivesh.com gives a key with 250 calls a day and the last 5 fiscal years. A data plan opens the full record.
- Each company is one call, kept for 6 hours, however many cells use it.
- Your key stays in your own Google account. People you share a sheet with cannot see it.
- Extensions > SN Data > List the figures puts every figure and how it is worked out on a new tab.
Share prices and figures worked out from them (P/E, market value, yields) are not part of SN Data.
