It runs DuckDB inside the sidebar, so your files are read where they sit.
Nothing is uploaded — there is no server to upload to.

WHAT YOU CAN QUERY
CSV, TSV, Parquet, JSON, JSONL, Excel, Avro, Arrow, XML, YAML, Markdown,
Shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoPackage, KML, Power BI models and more — around 35
formats. Read them from your machine, from any HTTPS URL, or straight out of
S3, Cloudflare R2 and other S3-compatible storage. No conversion step, no
import, no size limit to work around.

WHAT YOU GET
• Real SQL — joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregates. Not a simplified dialect.
• A preview before anything is written. Check the rows and the destination cell,
  then insert.
• An overwrite guard. If cells are in the way, SQL Cell counts them and asks first.

HOW IT IS DIFFERENT
Most SQL add-ons are database connectors: you supply credentials and query a
remote server. SQL Cell queries files, wherever they live — a folder on your
machine or a bucket in S3. Nothing to configure, no connection to maintain, and
it works on files a spreadsheet cannot open at all.

PRIVACY
All processing happens in your browser. SQL Cell has no backend, contains no
analytics, and never transmits your spreadsheet contents or your files anywhere.
