Use Texthelp’s Highlighting Tools to highlight key areas of your document to collect, group, and learn from later. Simply select and highlight the desired  text and click “Collect Highlights” to extract it and place it in a new document (by color or location) for students or educators to review.

his a great add on for people who use the AVID program and use AVID strategies. For teaching students in the 21st century, this is huge in helping them color coordinate their ideas and to gather information from the text. I also like how it has a variety of colors and then it will collect the text they highlighted together to consolidate information for them.

Solves a gross oversight in Google Docs: the ability to quickly highlight. It can be slow in large documents. Contrary to reviews here, you CAN remove a mistakenly highlighted passage, but you must do it through the standard Google Docs interface. To make it fast: 1) Highlight a section of normal text in your document and right click to "update 'Normal Text' to match". 2) Select an erroneously highlighted passage and press Ctrl- \.

I think this app because it allows me to highlight my own work and more importantly my students work. I wish that I could continue to use various colors, but I only have 30 days until the full free trial is up. I think it is a great feedback tool.

I highlight some words. I could not figure out how to selectively unhighlight words. My only choice was to unhighlight all highlighted words which I did. This had a bad interaction with table headers which I filled earlier with table properties. The words in the headers have an immediate white background where there used to be fill. The table header text was not touched by the highlight tool so it is a mystery why this happened - magic? I have tried everything to undo this with no luck yet. There is something evil going on here.

This app is a one-button shortcut to highlighting text through the menu. It's quite handy but it's a little bit too slow for a shortcut. On a 5-6 page document, it takes around 3-4 seconds for the highlight to appear. On a 170 page doc, it takes upwards of 1 minute. In the latter case the add-on is rendered useless, since it's faster to highlight through the menu.

I got it while on one document, but when I tried to use it on another, it was not there. I clicked "Get add-ons," but because I already had it for one, it was marked as "downloaded." I can't figure out what to do, because nothing I have done so far works! It is completely useless!
