TimeSheet utilizes your Google Calendar™ as a time recording tool. You simply create entries with #tags in your calendar and TimeSheet will create full reports about project usage, resource consumption and project status for you. 

Why spending time on additionally tools if you can use what’s already there? TimeSheet is a great and free solution for freelancers and small sized companies.

How it’s done?
Our recommendation is to create a new calendar for your time recordings. You could technically use your personal calendar, but once you want to share your time recordings with somebody else, it would be a lot of work to separate all the entries.

Within that calendar you can create new entries representing your work-packages. Every entry must have a tag that identifies the group or project of the work-package. Behind that tag you can leave a comment to document the work you have done.
For example:
#project1 Learning about time recording with TimeSheet

Make sure that the entries start-time and end-time matches your actual time consumption. Once you create a report now, all entries of your calendar that are having a #tag in its title will be used to create a report. You are also able to apply filters.

What is going on!! The new update does NOT have the functionality that I need any longer. Where did it go?? Now it's myHours and TimeOwl??? This Listing updated: March 5, 2024 First Mint.com and now this app! Why are companies not continuing with the functionality that people have been using for a long time???

I really love this extension for its simplicity. I've used it for my personal productivity to ensure that I'm not wasting time throughout my week. I wish there was a way to categorize projects according to calendar and project together. The hashtag requirement was a bit confusing when I first starting using it but I've leveraged this feature to become a power user.

i've been using this for a while and does exactly what i need. it's pretty bare bones though but that's OK because i can modify it after it tallies up my timesheet per month. all it needs is for you to add a '#' in your calendar, which is easy enough! i always recommend this add-on to clients!

Awesome tool, would be nice to have the details also showing the date and timing in the report. I am unable to link the calendar plugin and would love to that.

Effective freeware solution with a nice clean reporting interface is a huge plus - sadly however it only appears to be able to pick up one tag at start of each event header? (I.e. you can't split your projects into task sub-categories of Meetings, Billing etc without having to have a separate calendar for each project - can be difficult as a freelancer).

This add-on is so elegant and easy to use with your Calendar. You get two hierarchical levels. Simply add your activities and name them simply, nothing more to do! For example, add blocks of time in your Calendar and name them "#doc User Manual" and "#doc Sales pamphlet" etc. Your time will be neatly sorted under a "doc" group in the period-end report.
