I use this to keep my inbox clear by creating tasks related to emails and then archive the emails. It works great for that.
However, there are a lot of limitations on what you can do with that task when creating it. For example, I use labels in todoist as buckets of what type of tasks it is. It's not possible to assign a label to a task in this add on even if you use the tagging lingo that todoist has setup in it's app. Also, there are only 4 options for the due date (today, tomorrow, next workday, next week). This limits flexibility of it pretty heavily. If the due date I want is not an option, then I end up putting in my todoist inbox and then moving it later which leaves room for me forgetting it potentially.
The add-on does the basics, but to get 5 stars I think they need to add a lot more flexibility to the widget.
