How to find UK company details in a Google Sheet™.

This add-on finds company names in your Google Sheet™ and fills out data publicly available from Companies House such as Company Number, Name, Registered Address, Postcode, Accounting period, Incorporation Date, Previous Names, SIC Code, Striking Off, and more into other columns in the sheet.

The add-on is very lightweight and easy to use, and it can be a great way to save time when you need to identify company names and get data about those companies in bulk.

This add-on is tolerant of misspellings.

It also only finds UK companies. Non-UK companies are not supported.

Key data fields include:

Company Name – Registered legal name of the business
Company Registration Number (CRN) – Official unique identification number assigned by Companies House
Registered Office Address – Complete official address (Line 1, Line 2, Town/City, County, Country, Postcode)
Company Type – Legal structure (e.g., Private Limited Company, PLC)
Company Status – e.g., Active, Dissolved, Liquidation
Country of Origin – Country where the company was originally registered
Date of Incorporation – Official date the company was established
Accounting Reference Dates – Financial year-end day and month
Next Accounts Due Date – Deadline for submitting upcoming annual accounts
Last Accounts Date – End date of the most recent accounting period filed
Accounts Type – Filing classification (e.g., Micro-entity, Small, Full)
Legacy Annual Return Dates – Historical return deadlines and filing dates
Mortgage Charges & Securities – Summary of registered charges, including Total, Outstanding, Partially Satisfied, and Fully Satisfied charges
SIC Code – Standard Industrial Classification code identifying primary business activity
Limited Partnership Details – Count of General and Limited Partners (where applicable)
API URI – Direct link to the official Companies House record
Previous Company Names – Historical legal name changes
Confirmation Statement Dates – Next due date and last filing date for the annual CS01 statement
