Overview
VIME — the Visual Interactive Model Engine — puts your spreadsheet model inside your presentation. Connect a Google Sheets™ file, turn its assumptions into sliders and dials, then press Calculate: your model runs and presentation-ready charts redraw on the spot. No tab-switching, no rebuilding by hand. Change the assumptions, not the deck.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open VIME from the Extensions menu in any Google Slides™ deck, and pick the Google Sheets™ file that holds your model. VIME is granted access to that one file only — nothing else in your Google Drive™.

2. Choose which cells become inputs and which ranges get charted. Select them by drag-selecting from a live preview of your Google Sheets™ file, so there is no A1 notation to type.

3. Move the controls, press Calculate, and your model does the maths. Press Update Slide and a crisp, presentation-quality chart lands in your deck.

WHAT YOU GET

• Multi-year, multi-series charts — bar, line, pie and single-value views built from cell ranges, not just one number.
• Sliders, dials and fields — turn each input into the control that suits it: a slider for a percentage, a dial for a rate, a plain field for a number.
• Live what-if, without leaving Google Slides™ — explore a scenario in front of your audience instead of switching to the spreadsheet and rebuilding charts by hand.
• Styled to match your deck — choose the layout, colour palette and font so the charts look like they belong in the presentation.
• Your model stays put — VIME reads and writes the Google Sheets™ file you connect. It does no calculation of its own, so the numbers on the slide are your model's numbers.

PRIVACY

VIME accesses only the single Google Sheets™ file you explicitly connect through the Google Drive™ file picker, plus the presentation you have open. Your setup — which cells are inputs and outputs, chart types, layout and styling — is stored inside your presentation using built-in Google Workspace™ add-on storage. VIME runs no servers of its own and sends your data to no third parties.

WHO IT'S FOR

Financial models, forecasts, budgets, pricing scenarios, board and client decks — any spreadsheet you have to explain to other people, and defend when someone asks "what if it were 8% instead?"
