VIN & Recalls for Sheets turns a column of VINs into vehicle data with one formula. Built for dealers, fleet managers, auto auctions, insurers and anyone who tracks vehicles in a spreadsheet.

FORMULAS
• =VIN_DECODE(A2:A500) - year, make, model, trim, body, engine, fuel, drive, transmission, plant and a VIN validity check, for a single VIN or a whole column (results stay aligned with your rows).
• =VIN_REPORT(A2:A100) - per vehicle: number of recalls (US and Canada), urgent "do not drive" recalls, owner complaints, crashes, fires, injuries, deaths, NHTSA overall crash stars and EPA city/highway/combined MPG.
• =VIN_RECALLS("1HGCM82633A004352") or =VIN_RECALLS("Honda", "Accord", 2003) - the full recall list with component, summary, consequence, remedy and dates.

DATA SOURCES
NHTSA (vPIC decoder, recalls, complaints, NCAP crash ratings), Transport Canada recalls and US EPA fuel economy, updated daily to monthly. Recalls are listed per model and year; always confirm whether a specific vehicle has been repaired with the manufacturer or a dealer.

FREE PLAN
300 vehicle lookups per month per Google account. Results are cached for 6 hours, so recalculating a formula does not use extra quota.

PRIVACY
The add-on only uses the cells you pass to its formulas. It never reads your other files, Gmail™ or Google Drive™.
