Overview
Instead of copying and pasting from Google Docs to WordPress and losing your images and formatting in the process, this add-on makes it easy to compose in Google Docs and publish to WordPress with formatting intact and images being uploaded properly.

After installing the add-on, you’ll be able to open WordPress.com for Google Docs in any Google Doc and connect your sites.

If you are having trouble connecting your Jetpack-connected site please see our FAQ at https://apps.wordpress.com/support/#faq-googledocs or get in touch with us at https://wordpress.com/help/contact

I was very excited to test and use this add-on for all of my WP content, but it turned out to be unusable with my website. The WP support team and I had to go back and forth via email just to find the source of the issue, and while they've been responsive and helpful, it just feels like a lot of work to get this thing to work.

I added jetpack to my site and tried connecting via the addon tab on google docs. I get sent to a "Unable to connect to your site page" which says to check if my JSON API is enabled. I check and confirm that it's enabled. I try again and get sent to the same error page. Ok. I uninstall jetpack and reinstall it and make sure the JSON API is enabled. Same error page. Ok. I deactivate all my plugins except Jetpack and try again. Same error page. Ok maybe it's my custom theme. I switch to the generic Wordpress 2017 theme and try again. Same error page. What the hell am I supposed to do now...I can't even find it in my extensions to uninstall this plug-in even though it says "installed" on chrome app store. Argh too frustrated to even bother now..

This plugin becomes broken if you upgrade your wordpress plan. With no way to fix it. Spent 3 hours myslef trying to get it to work, then another two with wordpress support.

This worked twice but now it does not work anymore. I would really like to get it working consistently. I wish there were some trouble shooting tips. If the developer would like to work on debuging I'm happy to assist.

It's a nice idea, but it barely works better than simply copying and pasting text from a Google doc into a WordPress post or page. (And in some ways copying and pasting is preferable.)

First: Lots of formatting and indents are lost, not very useful. Second: If you remove or move the page, you can't update it from google docs. This is apparently a known problem. Third: It can only save as a post, not as a page.

I love the idea. It just won't authenticate to sites that use two-factor authorization and oAuth.

Managed to get my self hosted site connected with jetpack fine. Headings and some standard formatting works ok when published on wordpress (bullets, tables and paragraphs). Images didn't show up at all. Colors don't show up in either colored text or tables. It could a great time saver but currently it isn't practical for any real blogs or websites.
