Overview
Google Slides™ has no icon library. Icons gives you 125,000 of them, across 28 sets, in any colour you
like — and it asks for exactly one permission to do it.

FREE, AND STAYING FREE

• All 125,000 icons, in 28 styles — Material Symbols, Fluent, Phosphor, Tabler, Material Design Icons,
Remix, Carbon, Bootstrap and twenty more, including brand logos, flags, emoji and weather.
• Pick a style and stay in it. Every icon in a set is drawn on the same grid with the same stroke weight,
so the icons on your slide look like they belong together.
• Any of twelve colours, and every weight a set offers — outlined, rounded, filled, light, bold.
• Instant search. The whole index — all 63,000 concepts — lives inside the add-on, so typing filters the
style you are in with no waiting and no round trip to a server.
• No account. No sign-in. No "create a free profile to continue".
• Tap an icon and it lands on your slide. That is the whole workflow.

None of that is a trial, and none of it expires.

PRO — $29 per year, or $69 once

• Any colour you type — your exact brand hex, not the nearest preset.
• The colours of your presentation's own theme, read from the deck you have open. Icons picks up accent 1
through 6 and your theme's text colours, so they match the slide instead of merely sitting on it.
• Save the icons you use often and reuse them in every presentation, in any colour.
• One licence, every tool. The same key unlocks Pro in every add-on we publish, including the ones that
  do not exist yet.

ONE PERMISSION, AND IT IS THE NARROWEST ONE THERE IS

Icons asks for access to the presentation or document you currently have open — that one, while it is
open. Not your other files. Not your Drive™. Nothing in Gmail™, Calendar™ or your contacts. In Google
Docs™ it also downloads the icon image from our icon server, because Docs™ cannot place an image from a
web address; that request carries only the icon name, style, colour and size. You can read the whole list on the consent screen in
one line, which is the point.

Nothing from inside your presentation ever reaches us — not its text, not its images, not its name, not
who you are. The add-on runs inside Google Apps Script™ and makes no network calls of its own.

Icon images are drawn on our server, because that is what makes 125,000 icons in any colour possible
without bundling gigabytes into the add-on. Those requests contain only which icon, which colour and what
size — and we do not log them. There is no analytics, no tracking and no profile.

WHY THIS EXISTS

The icon add-on most people used was abandoned. Long before it stopped working, its reviews had already
settled on the same handful of complaints, in six languages: it lost the ability to change an icon's
colour, its icons came out with a pixelated black edge, it was slow to load, and it made you create an
account before you could reach the library. One reviewer wrote that it asked permission for everything
short of petting his dog.

Every one of those is a design decision here. Colour is free and central. Icons are rendered cleanly at
the size you insert them. Search never waits on a network. There is no account. And the permission list is
one line long.

THE ICONS THEMSELVES

They come from open-source icon sets published under permissive licences — MIT, Apache 2.0, CC0, ISC and
the Open Font License. Every set, its author and its licence are listed at
legal.syncerp.work/icons/licences. You may use what you insert, commercially included.

We deliberately left out roughly 33,000 icons whose licences would have obliged YOU to publish an
attribution next to your slides. A licence obligation you did not know you had agreed to is not a feature.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Install, then open any Google Slides™ presentation.
2. Open Icons from the side panel on the right.
3. Search, pick a style and a colour, and tap an icon. It appears on the slide you are on.
