Using Google Spreadsheet and a bit of help from Google Apps Script we made an easy to use planning tool. 

The spreadsheet has been divided in two sections. The left side is the input section and the right side displays a Gantt chart. The sheet automatically updates the chart in the background when you change the start and end dates. Budgets are added for each milestone and activities are turned into green when you tag them as finished.
