Overview
With the XLMiner Analysis ToolPak Add-on, you can easily perform statistical analyses of the same types available in the Analysis ToolPak add-in that has been part of Microsoft Excel for over 20 years, and has been featured in large numbers of textbooks, videos, statistics courses and the like.

The add-on provides all 19 interactive functions included in the Excel Analysis ToolPak, plus a 20th function often requested by users, logistic regression. Sidebar input fields and output on the spreadsheet will be very familiar to Excel Analysis ToolPak users.

The 20 functions are:
ANOVA: Single Factor
ANOVA: Two-Factor with Replication
ANOVA: Two-Factor without Replication
Correlation
Covariance
Descriptive Statistics
Exponential Smoothing
F-Test Two-Sample for Variances
Fourier Analysis
Histogram
Linear Regression
Logistic Regression
Moving Average
Random Number Generation
Rank and Percentile
Sampling
t-Test: Paired Two-Sample for Means
t-Test: Two-Sample Assuming Equal Variances
t-Test: Two-Sample Assuming Unequal Variances
z-Test: Paired Two-Sample for Means

Results will generally match the Excel Analysis ToolPak, as seen in many textbooks, screen images and videos. The add-on's Random Number Generation function uses the Mersenne Twister algorithm.

Doing simple descriptive statistics on a single column of integers, I got it to work for something less than 5000 rows. But it fails (without any sort of error message) on data sets larger than that, unless the calculation time increases exponentially. I had high hopes for this because as little analysis as I do, it's not easy to remain fluent in R. I'm not sure this is very useful in GSheets.

Wanted to use for my intro stats class. Close, but not clean enough to use for class. Degrees of freedom calculation is wrong in t-Test: Two-Sample Assuming Unequal Variances option. (n1+n2-3 instead of n1-n2-2). Could you fix this? Or can I adjust something as a user?

Works reasonably well for small datasets. The input fields are very fiddly, so make sure that you actually have the right range selected. It bogs down when you start getting into n>50 or so, and I imagine it would be completely useless and possibly crash if n>200. If you're working with datasets that big, spring for a real statistics package. That said, it works well for my high school students' projects that have relatively small sample sizes.

Exponential Smoothing works for 3000 observations. Doesn't have instructions that I could find.
