View documents, images, text, code, video, audio, and Microsoft Office files from inside an archive. Download a single file, extract selected files, or extract the entire archive.

Extract to Google Drive or your computer
Save extracted files to a new folder in Google Drive, or download them directly to your device. This is especially useful on Chromebooks, phones, tablets, and shared Workspace environments.

Private by design
Archive processing happens in your browser. ZIP Extractor does not process archive contents on ZIP Extractor servers. Passwords are used locally in your browser and are not sent to ZIP Extractor servers.

Create ZIP files
Add files and folders from your computer or Google Drive, then download the finished ZIP or save it directly to Drive. You can also create password-protected ZIP files.

Permissions
ZIP Extractor uses Google Drive permissions only for files you choose to open, create, or save with the app. It does not have access to your entire Drive. Basic Google Sign-In information is used to confirm the active account and display it in the app; ZIP Extractor does not store, log, or share your email address.

How to use ZIP Extractor

Open an archive from Google Drive, Gmail, or your computer.
Preview, search, or select files inside the archive.
Choose Extract to Drive or Extract to Computer.
Open the extracted folder in Drive or download the selected files.
