The mission and the challenge

From coffee makers and vending machines to electric cars and satellites, Zoppas Industries is a key player in electrical heating and thermal management applications that are part of everyday life. Founded in 1963, the company now operates 15 production sites across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, providing solutions for domestic appliances, industrial applications, and the commercial sector. We attribute our growth to our constant transformation over the years and our ability to bring sustainable innovation to our customers.

One of our biggest transformations began in 2015 when we wanted to address concerns with our existing email provider, including spam, phishing, and ransomware attacks. This led us to Gmail, which opened the door to Google Workspace, a platform that allowed us to reimagine how we collaborate globally. Google Workspace gave us a comprehensive solution that went beyond our initial security challenges to meet our goals for boosting productivity, improving collaboration, and unifying our tools. Now, ten years later, Workspace has enabled digital literacy within our company so we can innovate faster.

The switch to Google Workspace and Gemini

We first replaced our existing email system with Gmail to increase security and improve the way we communicate. We then identified another pain point: fragmented tools for managing documents and data, and for collaborating with global teammates. Since we were already using Gmail, Google Drive was a natural next step into the Workspace ecosystem. It enhances our security with access controls and simplified document management so everyone can find the files they need with ease. We also expanded our solutions to include Google Meet and Chat to enable face-to-face and real-time collaboration from anywhere. We recently brought AI into the fold with Gemini to supercharge productivity.

To ensure consistency in using Workspace with Gemini, we first trained our team managers, bringing digital transformation from the top down. The increase in productivity and improved communication led to a companywide rollout. The Gemini App is already accelerating key processes for our 8,000 employees, including supplier research, training, generating meeting summaries, and creating and reviewing content. We believe that Gemini is helping us enhance the way our employees collaborate.

We’re now exploring Agentspace, a new agentic AI platform for unlocking expertise and efficiencies across workflows. This solution understands natural language, provides comprehensive answers, and automates tasks, helping us work smarter, faster, and more consistently. Since our customers prioritize time to market, we believe this will be key in our ability to meet their needs for the future.
