Social Contest: Show us how Gemini for Workspace helps you do great things

Have you had one of those moments when Gemini really came through for you? (I have been having them daily lately. In fact, I used it to help me write a strategy doc for this contest — no kidding). Maybe you used Gemini to draft the perfect email reply to your manager, or generate stunning images for a presentation that helped you land a big account, or spark your next big idea. Well, we want to hear about your wow moments.

Today we’re announcing a Gemini for Google Workspace social contest, open to small business owners, entrepreneurs, and anyone using Gemini for Workspace in their everyday life.

How to enter

Make your story social-ready

Film a video or draft a write-up showcasing how you or your team achieves great things at work, or in your daily routine, with a little help from Gemini for Workspace (available with the Gemini add-on or at gemini.google.com). Don't be afraid to make it personal, such as including a brief introduction about yourself or your business. 

You can make a TikTok, an Instagram reel, an image (or series of images) for X, or a LinkedIn post talking about what you’ve accomplished using Gemini for Workspace features in the Workspace apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive). Just choose whatever best shows off your Google Workspace story. Remember — do not share confidential information as part of this contest.

Posting tips:

• Keep it short: Focus on the most impactful moments and takeaways.

• Showcase Gemini in action: Tell us how you use Gemini or, even better, show us — screen-record right from your phone or laptop and include it in your post.

• Be authentic: Be yourself and have fun with it!

Posting your story

1. Follow us on social
Your profile must be public and you must be following the @GoogleWorkspace account on the platform where you submit your post (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,  Tiktok, or X) in order for the submission to be considered. 

2. Post your story
Share on the platform of your choice by November 30, 2024 and tag @GoogleWorkspace and #GeminiAtWork in your post.

3. How we’ll choose the lucky winner
There will be one Grand Prize Winner per social media platform, and winners will be selected by a panel of Google Workspace judges based on the following criteria: 

• Creativity and Originality in using Gemini in a novel or innovative way (30%) 

• Clarity in showing the use case and Relevance to the Contest (30%) 

• Impact on efficiency, collaboration, organization, or productivity, and Value of Gemini to the business is clearly conveyed (25%)

• Post Quality and Presentation (15%) 

In addition to following the rules above, to be eligible to win, you must be over 18 years old, must use Gemini for Google Workspace for either business or personal purposes, and must have a public profile on the social media platform you use to enter the contest. 

Winners will be able to choose their prize from the following:

• One (1) trip to Las Vegas to attend Google Cloud Next 2025 and have the unique opportunity to learn and connect with industry leaders

• One (1) Google Pixel and one (1) piece of Google-branded merchandise

Every submission makes a difference 

For the first 250 eligible entries in the contest, Google will make a donation to the Mark Cuban Foundation to support up to 250 high school students to attend the Mark Cuban AI Bootcamp! Your participation helps pave the way for the next generation of AI innovators.
