SIGN UPToday, we’re announcing the general availability of Google Workspace Studio — the place to design, manage, and share AI agents in Workspace. Harnessing the reasoning power and multimodal understanding of Gemini 3, we’ve built AI automation that’s simple to use, deeply integrated into Google Workspace, and puts custom agent creation in the hands of every employee. With Workspace Studio, you can build agents in minutes to automate everyday work, from simple tasks to complex workflows — no coding or specialized syntax required.
Why we’re bringing agent-powered automation to Workspace
We’ve all lost countless hours to the daily grind: sifting through emails, juggling calendar logistics, and chasing follow-up tasks. Legacy automation tools tried to help, but they were simply too rigid and technical for the everyday user. That’s why we’re bringing custom agents directly into Workspace with Studio – so you can delegate these repetitive tasks to agents that can reason, understand context, and handle the work that used to slow you down.
Studio puts the full potential of agentic AI into the hands of everyone, not just specialists, by removing the friction of coding and making it easy for anyone to design agents that automate their unique business processes in minutes.

Automate complex tasks with intelligent agents in Google Workspace
While traditional automation logic relies on stringent rules, rigid conditionals, and coding skills, Workspace agents are designed to be more powerful and flexible. Thanks to Gemini’s advanced capabilities, these agents can effectively reason through problems, adapt instantly to new information, and tackle the most complex, end-to-end business processes. This unlocks a new level of AI help, enabling sentiment analysis, content generation, intelligent prioritization, smart notifications, and more.
Kärcher, the global leader in cleaning solutions, collaborated with their long-term Google Cloud partner Zoi to become an early adopter of Workspace Studio. Previously, their digital platforms team evaluated new feature ideas using a fragmented, time-consuming process that relied on live meetings and scattered notes that were hard to track.
To optimize their approach, Kärcher deployed a virtual team of agents they built in Studio. Now, when a new feature idea is proposed in Chat, a brainstorming Gem assesses its merit, a technical Gem performs a feasibility check, a UX Gem describes a possible user flow, and a final Gem drafts a complete user story for the team to review, based on the outputs of the previous steps. This has reduced their drafting time by 90%, turning hours of manual consolidation into a ready-to-review plan in just two minutes.
Empower anyone to create agents in Workspace
Workspace customers in our Gemini Alpha program are already using Workspace Studio — in fact, these agents have helped customers with more than 20 million tasks in the past 30 days, from automating status reports and customizing reminders to business-critical processes like triaging legal notices and managing travel requests.
What these agents — whether they have two steps or 20 — all have in common is that they’re built by the people who know the problems best. You don’t need to know any coding to create them. Start from a template or simply describe what you want to automate in natural language, and Gemini 3 will create it. For example, you can prompt, “If an email contains a question for me, label the email as ‘To respond’ and ping me in Chat.”

Studio builds this agent instantly, utilizing Gemini 3 to decide which incoming emails contain questions. It can go even further — extracting crucial details like action items, invoice numbers from the emails and their attachments. And since collaboration is at the heart of Workspace, you can share your agents with your team as easily as you share files in Google Drive.
Orchestrate work across all your apps
Because agents are deeply integrated with Workspace apps like Gmail, Drive, and Chat, they understand the full context of your work. This allows them to provide help that matches your company’s policies and processes while generating personalized content in your tone and style. You can even view your agent activity directly from the side panels of your favorite Workspace apps.
Agents designed in Workspace Studio are also extensible. Pre-built steps and actions make it easy to connect agents to essential enterprise apps and platforms like Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, and Salesforce, improving your processes across entire business workflows. Advanced capabilities are also available for more technical users. Custom steps in Apps Script enables teams to tailor agents to their advanced business needs and integrate with internal tools, ADK agents, and proprietary models via Vertex AI.
