In January, we announced Gmail is entering the Gemini era, transforming your inbox into a personal, proactive assistant. Today, we're bringing a number of those new features to our business users, starting with our Gemini Alpha customers.

These new capabilities connect the broader context of your work to your business-critical emails. Now, you can unlock rich information tucked away in your inbox and draft detailed, personalized communications in seconds.

Ask your inbox anything: AI Overviews

Your inbox is full of critical information for your job, but finding what you need can be tricky. That's why we're making AI Overviews in Gmail search available to businesses.

Now when you ask your inbox a question, we use Gemini to generate a simple AI Overview with the answer. You can ask natural questions like, "What’s the latest status of the Acme contract?" Gemini synthesizes the information from across your threads and presents a clear, concise answer, saving you from having to be a power searcher just to find a single detail.

Get things done faster: Help me write with personalization

We're improving drafts in Gmail by automatically pulling in the broader context of your work, saving you from having to track down details manually. Now, our Help me write feature can leverage your past emails, chats, and Drive files to draft emails that include the relevant details while reflecting your personal writing style, yielding a much richer result.

For example, imagine you need to update your manager on a project’s status. Instead of hunting through different documents, decks, and conversations to compile your response, you can simply prompt: "Write a quick status email to Aisha about the Spring Thaw Tour national park series." Gmail then uses Gemini to pull supporting details from the relevant emails, chats, and Drive files to compose a detailed, accurate response — complete with dates and budgets — ready for your review.
