SIGN UPModern teamwork can be fragmented, with important information and tasks spread across dozens of apps, forcing users to constantly switch tools and re-enter the same data. Google Workspace integrations bring your favorite apps directly into your workflow, so you can get real-time notifications, take action, and automate tasks.
2025 was a breakthrough year for integrations in Google Chat, with new apps you've been asking for and major improvements to existing ones. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest highlights over the last year.
Apps for visual collaboration
Lucid delivered three apps for Chat: Lucidchart for diagramming, Lucidspark for whiteboarding and ideation, and Lucidscale for cloud architecture design. Miro now brings powerful virtual whiteboarding directly to your spaces, and Figma has launched a Chat app that connects team communication with the flow of design and development.

Apps for developers and admins
Technical teams gained several important integrations this year: a new version of GitHub for Chat to streamline code reviews and tracking issues; an updated Jira integration to help manage projects efficiently without leaving Chat; a new Feeds app, built by Google, that integrates RSS and Atom feeds directly into spaces, and an updated version of Datadog with automatic space creation, notifications, and dashboard previews. Feeds joins existing DevOps apps such as PagerDuty and Bitbucket.

Team collaboration, support and HR
We’ve launched integrations to bridge internal collaboration with customer-facing communication. The popular HubSpot app lets teams track deals and tasks seamlessly from within Chat.
For internal operations and productivity, Asana keeps work moving without leaving a conversation, while the ServiceNow integration lets teams streamline workflows in Chat. The Workday integration makes HR tasks easy to complete in Chat, and the Comeen app provides an AI-powered workplace agent to help you find meeting rooms, book resources and more. The Poll app helps teams quickly gather feedback and make collective decisions.

Making apps easier to build, deploy, and discover
To help our partners to deliver world-class experiences for Chat users, we’ve also made improvements to the platform and API:
- Workspace add-ons for Google Chat: Write once, run anywhere. Partners like Asana, Figma, Lucid, and Miro are already delivering unified experiences.
- Improved integration menu: A redesigned interface makes discovering tools and app commands more intuitive.
- Automatic installation: Once an app is installed by a user, it is automatically added into spaces when invoked.
- Improved reporting: Admins now have clearer visibility into app usage across the organization.
- API improvements: Developers benefit from better visual displays with carousels, improved text formatting, robust form field validation, and much more.
Looking ahead
As we close the book on 2025, we are already looking forward to an incredible 2026 including new or updated apps for Chat such as Trello, 1Password, Confluence, and Polly, and a wide range of new agentic experiences and integrations. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
