Google Workspace named a Leader in Forrester Wave UCaaS 2025 Report

Today, we’re honored to share that Google has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Unified-Communications-As-A-Service Platforms (UCaaS) Q3 2025 report. This report is an independent review and evaluation of the 12 most significant UCaaS providers in the market today — companies that offer a solution for video, chat, and phone communications — that will help organizations select the best one for their needs.

Why Google Workspace was named a Leader

In the report, Google received the highest score of all providers in the strategy category and ultimately received the highest possible score in 12 different criteria. We believe this is a testament to our strengths in several key areas, including our meeting experience, chat intelligence and automation, collaboration unification, native AI integration in our products at no additional cost, and our unwavering commitment to customer security and data protections.

Deep Gemini integration across Workspace

The Forrester report states that Google has recently "redefined how AI can embed into collaboration, including embedding Gemini in all Workspace licenses..." This is central to our vision of helpful AI built for everyone. With Gemini available across Workspace, users benefit from automated meeting notes, smarter summaries of long Chat threads, and contextually aware assistance when they need it. Smarter, more inclusive meetings with Google Meet

The report cites Google Meet's "multiple AI features, including translation, audio cleaning, and video retouching" as strengths. These are more than technical enhancements; they help make every meeting more inclusive, productive, and focused. Real-time captions and translations break down language and accessibility barriers. AI noise cancellation ensures that voices — not background distractions — are heard. And intelligent video features make it easy for everyone to be seen. This commitment to integrating useful AI in Meet helps users seamlessly engage with fewer distractions and in ways that best suit their needs.

AI-powered Chat for better collaboration

Google Chat with Gemini helps teams stay organized, extract key information from long conversations, and even automate routine tasks directly within their workflows — all without switching tools. Forrester noted that “chat intelligence and automation are accessible, allowing anyone to embed automation into work.” This extends to "modality blending," where users can easily move from chat to huddle to a meeting, making collaboration more natural, fluid, and productive. 

Enterprise ready

The Forrester report goes on to state: "Google is best for midsize and enterprise orgs looking for a UCaaS solution that blurs the divide between collaboration and communication, embedding AI and automation into daily work." Combined with the highest score of all providers in the strategy category, we believe this reinforces Workspace’s value for organizations seeking to modernize how work gets done — securely, intelligently, and at scale.
