There’s an incredible wave of enthusiasm for AI in my conversations with leaders across the globe. Many are finding that the secret to unlocking innovation is to make AI a core part of their daily culture. They’ve also found that change management isn’t about a point-in-time event, but rather embracing change as an organizational and foundational skill.

I also firmly believe that the most successful AI journeys start at our own desks as leaders. Instead of simply introducing new tools, we can inspire our teams by sharing our own firsthand experiences with a new technology. When we openly discuss where, how, and when we apply AI in our own routines — like sharing a new workflow used to prepare for a customer meeting, or automating repetitive tasks to reclaim time — AI immediately moves into the realm of the practical and the inspirational.

But how do you scale inspiration across a global enterprise?

Here are three blueprints that operationalize this inspiration-first approach:

1. Gamify the daily grind and amplify wins

One of my favorite examples of driving adoption is a client who turned their organization into Hogwarts, of Harry Potter wizarding fame. They sorted the entire company, including the CEO, into competing houses. To win the annual House Cup, employees embarked on AI Quests, like crafting a brilliant prompt or building a custom AI assistant, to earn points for their house. They even appointed Prefects — AI power users — to tutor their housemates, turning a standard software rollout into a fun, highly competitive multiplayer game.

Separately, to scale inspiration across their massive workforce, a large European aircraft manufacturer deployed Gemini Hunt escape games and immersive Transformation Labs. These initiatives engaged over 3,650 participants across five countries, turning the learning process into a high-engagement competition.

2. Empower local multipliers and LOB owners

The most successful enterprises build networks of champions to organically share new AI-driven workflows across departments.

Automotive supplier Valeo ran a Magic of AI Day within their finance department. This initiative focused on taking true action toward building the future in a collaborative and ethical manner, with hands-on development of workflows with AI to solve real business problems. As a result, finance managers reduced document creation time by one to two hours per deal.

A national healthcare provider established a Digital Workplace Center of Excellence (COE) that sponsors their Google Guides & Gurus program to drive enterprise-wide AI acceleration. These 250 cross-functional champions provide practical support for peers, bridging the gap between rollout strategy and daily operations. Under the COE’s leadership, they have achieved a 43% uptick in adoption this year across more than 84,000 users.

A multinational industrial supplier is seeing incredible results (with the majority of their workforce already daily active Gemini users) by promoting creativity among engineers by sharing Skills through a group-wide library. A monthly contest drives viral adoption of the best Skills, improving workflows for everything from training to safety procedures and financial analysis.

3. Executives should lead by prompt

This brings us back to the boss's desk, where taking a proactive approach to actively demonstrate everyday value can ignite widespread creativity.

A Fortune 50 CEO shared how he’s been leveraging Gemini Notebook to prepare in-depth for board meetings. He loads the collateral and transcripts from the last three board meetings into Gemini Notebook, as well as the slides for the upcoming meeting. He then starts the conversation with questions like “What are the first three questions the board is going to ask me?” to get coaching and understand what might be the highest priority areas. He’s been delighted with the results: he can now own a process that once cost hundreds of thousands of dollars across consulting resources.

And the CEO of a major staffing agency uses Google Vids to send out updates on Gemini, embedded into a newsletter that reaches 39,000 company employees worldwide. By personally creating these videos, he’s setting an example for modern, effective communication, and showing his organization how to adopt these tools. It’s a dynamic, multimodal way to stay connected companywide, ensuring his authentic tone is captured while directly aligning with corporate initiatives to scale AI adoption.

Unlock individual superpowers

If you can successfully build these cultural frameworks now, you’re doing more than just driving AI adoption — you’re preparing your organization for the next evolution of work: the age of autonomous agents.

In the near future, we’re going to see a lot of superpowers unlocked at the individual employee level. For example, if you have a good negotiator on your team, AI agents can take their skills to the next level, bringing them the insights and knowledge to become a best-in-class negotiator. In this new world of work, human expertise will be amplified, not replaced, with humans remaining firmly in the loop to focus on strategy, creativity, and connection.

If your organization views AI as a check-the-box requirement, you probably won’t feel ready to take advantage of agents. But if you’ve already gamified AI adoption, empowered local ambassadors, and modeled collaboration straight from the C-suite, then your teams will be poised to embrace agents as a powerful partner and double down on their own professional development.
