More importantly, it needed to build a solid and secure foundation, so that the organization could scale without worrying about security loopholes.

Seeking a more streamlined approach, iOPEX worked with partner Shivaami on a full-fledged Google Workspace migration to achieve a secure-by-design one-stop-shop for all its productivity and collaboration needs. iOPEX Technologies was well supported by Shivaami, and was able to seamlessly onboard its strong global workforce to Google Workspace in less than a month, and see them instantly use the solutions thanks to an intuitive user-friendly interface.

In the past, the company used different tools to cater to requirements like data loss prevention (DLP), identity and access management, device management, anti-spam and anti malware. Today, iOPEX is able to easily manage all their users, devices, and identities from a single admin console. Through a combination of Google Workspace best-in-class security features and deployment of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), iOPEX can authorize who can take action on specific resources, giving the IT & security team full control and visibility to manage assets centrally, a key advantage in proactively ensuring the safety of sensitive material.

The robust secure-by-design environment of Google Workspace also enables iOPEX to collaborate on files with customers by providing external access to those who are already in the Google Workspace environment.

From email, device management, and chat, to antivirus and antimalware applications, the iOPEX team worked across six to seven different tools that served different purposes before implementing Google Workspace.

The task of setting up a full suite of collaboration tools was a challenging task, as apart from juggling multiple platforms, engineers needed to provision the environment manually on-prem, deploying servers and software, and ensuring they catered for the server capacity needed. This process was not only cumbersome, but also costly as they would need to continuously add servers over time to support an increasing workload.

With Google Workspace, the team now works seamlessly across Gmail, Chat, Calendar, and Drive to address all of its needs without having to worry about storage capacity. Google Workspace ensured a secure cloud architecture and it instilled confidence in the team as they could connect multiple workflows across different tools without the hassle of logging in and out, knowing that all of their data is kept secure on a single cloud.

At the same time, when it came to managing the workflow of its IT teams, iOPEX was able to consolidate their costs and efforts in managing the tools required for day-to-day operations.
