SIGN UPWorkspace is a powerful, AI-enhanced productivity suite, with more than three billion users and 11 million paid business customers. Every day, our customers also rely on popular, best-in-class apps — from Asana to Zapier — that integrate with Google Workspace and help keep teams productive.
Integrating essential third-party applications directly into Google Chat further enhances team work and collaboration. It allows crucial information to be shared within Chat conversations, empowering teams to stay informed and take action without needing to switch between apps. Over the past few years, we have significantly expanded our Workspace integration platform and the Google Chat API to enable ISV partners and developers to create even more robust and valuable experiences for Workspace customers.
In recent weeks, our partners have launched new or updated versions of some of the most popular and widely requested apps for Google Chat, including:
ServiceNow Virtual Agent
More than 85% of the Fortune 500 uses ServiceNow to automate internal processes and workflows, and you can too with the Now Virtual Agent for Google Chat. Reduce support calls and increase productivity by enabling your teams to complete requests using the Now Virtual Agent.

Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale
Lucid has transformed visual collaboration with powerful apps like Lucidchart for business diagrams, Lucidspark, a virtual whiteboard, and Lucidscale, a tool for visualizing your cloud architecture. These apps are now available in Google Chat, providing inline previews, file search, notifications and more.

Jira
Trusted by leading companies around the world, Jira helps teams deliver, scale, and repeat. Jira’s app for Google Chat reduces friction and improves collaboration, giving teams the flexibility to work their way. The updated Jira app for Google Chat will be rolling out to existing users and available for download in the coming weeks.

Comeen Workplace Agent
This powerful assistant relies on generative AI to help users complete key workplace actions with natural language conversation in Google Chat. From meeting room bookings to workplace knowledge, everything happens in seconds through simple prompts, in the same place you connect and collaborate. When you ask about your workplace or colleagues, the Workplace Agent provides contextual answers tailored to your organization’s configuration and your individual context.

GitHub
Github is one of the most popular platforms for storing, sharing, and collaborating on code. With GitHub for Google Chat, teams can quickly get notifications for key events, open new issues, make pull requests, do code reviews, create scheduled or personal reminders, and provide real-time feedback that improves the quality of their code — all from Google Chat.

Transforming the way developers build apps for Chat
To simplify development and enhance our customer experience, we've enabled the creation of Chat apps using the Workspace add-ons framework. This allows developers to build a single integration compatible with all Workspace apps supporting add-ons, including Gmail, Chat, Drive, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets. Consequently, apps can deliver a more integrated experience with consistent data context and user interfaces across various Workspace applications.
While existing third-party Chat apps will remain fully functional, new "unified" apps will eventually become the standard. This approach empowers our partners to accelerate innovation by concentrating on one development framework for all Workspace integrations and simplifies the installation for both administrators and users, who will only need to install a single app.

Getting started, with much more to come
Workspace customers will see the benefits of this innovation in the coming months, with many more of your favorite apps becoming available for Chat including 1Password, Confluence, Figma, and Miro, along with major updates for popular apps including Asana, Datadog, HubSpot, Polly, Salesforce, Trello, and Workday, and a new Chat app for RSS feeds.
Workspace admins can manage which apps are available to various groups in their organization using simple, powerful controls in the Workspace admin console, and can even pre-install and configure apps for their entire organization.
