Jeffrey Oelen, Adwise’s workspace manager and IT guru, has paired Google Meet with video conferencing hardware by Logitech, a Google partner. The Adwise team — which numbers over 150 — appreciates how reliable and easy to use the technology for online meetings is now, as well as how little IT support the technology requires.

"Previously, we didn’t have a uniform solution," Oelen shares. "Some people used Zoom, others used Meet, and each conference room at our offices in Utrecht and Almelo had different hardware."

Compatibility issues between hardware and software led to video and audio glitches during meetings — and a steady stream of tech support requests. Because Google Meet runs cleanly on Logitech hardware, standardizing on Meet and Logitech changed all that.

Audio and video quality are now clear and consistent, both for meeting participants and when screen sharing. Having a single hardware/software combination to support across all locations and conference rooms has simplified and minimized technical issues. And with Logitech Sync, the hardware can be managed remotely, enabling Oelen to troubleshoot any problems that do arise quickly, from anywhere. 

"We no longer waste time dealing with technical problems during calls," reports Wouter van Mierlo, Adwise’s senior marketing strategist. "Customer meetings get off to a good start, and our team meetings can focus on creative collaboration. Everyone feels much more engaged because they can see and hear other meeting participants clearly."

van Mierlo also appreciates how easy to use Google Meet is when working remotely — and especially the customizable virtual backgrounds. "Whether I’m working from home with children in the background or dialing in from my car in a gas station parking lot, Meet makes the setting look professional," he adds. 

For his part, Oelen finds Google’s "secure by design" principles reassuring. "Document security is very important to us," he says. "We know the entire Google environment is completely safe, and we’re confident we can entrust Google with our data’s security."

And because Meet is included in Google Workspace, Adwise was able to reduce its operating costs by completely phasing out Zoom and making Meet their sole platform for video conferencing with no additional licensing costs. 

Adwise tells its clients that digitization is the biggest disruptive force they'll ever face and that AI is spawning new business models and propelling progress in every industry. It's no surprise, then, that Adwise has adopted Gemini for Google Workspace for their own use as well as in service of their clients.

Adding AI to the mix with Gemini, which is integrated into all core Google Workspace apps, has brought a raft of benefits that were also met with staff-wide enthusiasm. "We began our rollout of Gemini by testing it with just a few individuals. But when their colleagues saw what Gemini was capable of, they all began clamoring for their own license."

Oelen had already been using the AI built into Google Calendar to automatically find time slots to meet with busy colleagues and generate appointment summaries and task lists. Both Oelen and van Mierlo now use the Help me write feature — part of Gemini in Docs and Gmail — to outline new documents, summarize existing documents, and reply to emails. "With a simple prompt, Gemini responds in my tone of voice, so it doesn’t seem like an AI bot is replying."

van Mierlo also uses Help me visualize in Google Slides to generate new, customized images for presentations. "For marketers, that kind of personalization is both valuable and imperative," he says.

"Gemini kickstarts our work," Oelen adds. "We get more work done in the same amount of time because it automates repetitive tasks and provides the information we need right when we need it. It’s become indispensable."

The "Take notes for me" feature in Google Meet is another time-saver. "If I join a meeting late, I can ask Gemini for a summary of what I missed rather than disrupting the meeting by asking for an in-person recap," Oelen comments, noting that the accuracy of meeting transcripts and summaries are aided by the high quality of Logitech’s audio technology.

"We used to spend a lot of time traveling for in-person client meetings," he adds. "Now that we can work seamlessly with each other and our customers, video calling has become the standard for us, and we simply couldn’t have made that happen without Logitech and Google Meet."

van Mierlo notes that "it’s much easier to onboard international customers because the distance makes a lot less difference." He adds, "We like to say that we don’t service clients, we embed them in our agency, and Google Meet lets us work for them and alongside them, wherever they are."

And Kranenberg reports that an Adwise client survey found that "our clients are having a very positive experience with Adwise's collaboration tools and environment as well."
